It gives me great pleasure, as Principal of Kilteevan National School, to welcome you to our school website. This website has been prepared in the hope that it will become a valuable source of school news, timely information and fabulous photography for parents, pupils and visitors to the site. We hope it will provide a snapshot of daily life in our lovely school.

Kilteevan NS is a two-teacher school located in a quiet, safe, rural setting only five minutes’ drive from Roscommon town. Pupils benefit from a low pupil-teacher ratio, as well as a wide variety of extra-curricular and sporting activities. We are very proud of our school, with its rich tradition of teaching and learning, together with sport, drama, art and music.

Staff, pupils and parents are immensely proud of our award-winning pollinator-friendly garden and maintain close community links. The school is welcoming and inclusive, promotes a strong Catholic ethos, while welcoming children of all nationalities and faiths. We provide a safe and secure learning environment for all children, believing strongly in the importance of enabling all children to reach their full potential.

Pupils, parents and staff are working together to keep each other safe in uncertain times.
